Description:
Improvements to Colorado Lagoon are a part of a multi-phased Colorado Lagoon Restoration Plan which included previous improvements finished in 2010 and 2012. The final component of the Colorado Lagoon’s approved master restoration plan involves creating an open channel between the Colorado Lagoon and Marine Stadium. Improvements consists of, but were not limited to:
- Site demolition and cleaning
- Excavation
- Grading
- Sewer siphon construction
- Electrical duct bank relocation
- Other utility relocations and removals
- Pile installation
- Box culvert design and construction
- Cast-in-place retaining wall construction
- Roadway construction
- Concrete and decomposed granite flatwork
- Planting of native trees and vegetation
- Lawn sodding and seeding
- Irrigation
- Sports field construction
- Park amenities installation
