Oceanside Transit Center Thirds Track Project

The work added a third track and platform to the Oceanside Transit Center on the LOSSAN Corridor, making it the first place in San Diego North County to triple-track a section of the 125-year-old railway. The third track and new 1,000-foot-long boarding platform helps prevent delays that occur while trains wait for space to board passengers. The work performed included:
- Construction of new track with concrete and wood ties
- Relaying existing track
- Resurfacing of existing track
- Removal of portions of existing track
- Construction of a new turnout and new crossovers along with the removal and salvage of an existing turnout
- Demolition of existing platform and plaza
- Construction of a new platform
- Platform extensions
- Reconstructing plaza and existing platform to new height
- Construction of drainage pipes and associated structures
- Trackbed preparation
- New canopy structures
- Landscaping and irrigation
- Electrical and communications at the station
- Signage
- Signal bridge removal
- Signal system improvements
- Minor roadway improvements on Wisconsin Avenue
