    Reyes Construction, Inc. repaired an open-ocean pier by demolishing and disposing of the existing superstructure; extracting and disposing of 18 existing timber creosote treated bearing piles supporting the existing superstructure; demolishing and disposing of existing 30-ton concrete strobe light platforms; extracting and disposing of six (6) concrete-encased steel bearing piles supporting the existing strobe light platforms; fully designing (in conjunction with Moffatt & Nichol-Blaylock) the replacement pier; furnishing and installing 16 bearing piles, additional pin piles and the new pier superstructure including navigation light platforms at 100-foot intervals.

    Reyes Construction, Inc. provided 2,000 LF on new sewer lines and 6,000 LF of main repairs base-wide throughout Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, 29 Palms, CA. Additionally, minor asphalt paving and concrete repairs and manhole installations were also included.

    Project Description

    Reyes Construction, Inc. was awarded this design-build contract which consisted of providing engineering evaluation, design and construction for the repair of the waterline distribution system basewide at Naval Air Station, Point Mugu, CA. The scope of work consisted of traffic control, dewatering, excavation, trenching, backfill, mainline pipe installation, lateral and appurtenance installation, cathodic protection, hydrostatic testing, waterline tie-ins, abandonment of existing waterlines, and paving at 18 different locations basewide. Additional work included jack and boring, runway restoration, shoring and pits, landscaping, hardscape restoration, as well as miscellaneous site improvements and incidental work. All total, 40,000 LF of pipe was installed at Point Mugu.

    Reyes Construction was awarded this design-build project involving: the research and project development; water system master planning; water treatment plant audit and evaluation report; design and construction of water treatment plant repair/upgrade; and design and construction of the water distribution pipeline. This project is being performed while the plant is still in operation and must be brought up to regulation standards within the specified time frame in order for the plant/system to be compliant with water quality regulations.

    Special Missions Training Branch (SMTB) Battle Course, MCB Camp Pendleton, CA

    Project Description

    Reyes Construction was awarded the Special Missions Training Branch (SMTB) Battle Course project which consisted of the design and construction of a nominal 270 degree horizontal arc Tactical Automated Reaction Range/Urban Sniper Range to support sniper small arms training requirements. Construction includes a two-story Sniper House with attic and Control Tower with observation deck and lightning protection. Built-in equipment includes a public address system. Special items include 134 hard wired stationary infantry target (SIT) emplacements; 12 hard wired moving infantry target (MIT) emplacements; 10 Known Distance (KD) target carriages with Butts wall; and a two-story façade with targetry emplacements. Other facilities include KD firing lines at 183 meters and 274 meters (200 and 300 yards) from KD targets with room for 10 shooters, a concrete pad for portable toilets, and a covered bench.

    Paving and site improvements include paved access road and parking area, Class II base service road in target impact area, and storm water management features.

    Other site improvements include night training lights, lateral limit markers with lights and power outlets for thermal imaging connectors, power outlets at KD Butts wall for lights and maintenance equipment, electrical power to flagpole with warning beacon, and signs.
